Getting to Honolulu from Sydney Australia has never been easier (and cheaper). We we’re lucky to find cheap flights on Jetstar (a sister company of Qantas) for $150 each way! It was some sort of promotion JetStar was running. By the time tax’s we’re added, in flight food, entertainment and comfort packs, it ended up being around $700 return each. (I travelled with my partner Alicia). As for the flight itself, it was very non eventful. In-fact I can’t remember experiencing any turbulence. It was a very pleasant flight, taking around 10 hours. Service on Jetstar was very reasonable considering it is a low cost carrier. The Flight attendants we’re very friendly and helpful. As with most economy class flights, leg room was tight. My last 3 international flights I have flown business class. And to be honest, there is not a huge difference for the amount of money you pay. Sure in Business Class they give you priority check in, and boarding. Access to the frequent flyer lounge… A champagne and a newspaper the moment you board the plane. But are these little perks worth paying triple the price for? In this case, I did not believe so. I guess if you are flying from Sydney to London, the extra leg room may be worth paying the extra. But overall, I was happy flying with JetStar. The Flights left and arrived on time in both Sydney and Honolulu.
